Over the years biotechnology expanded, mutated (okay many not mutated, like some would think) and transformed. Biotechnology, basically put, harnesses cellular and biomolecular processes to develop technologies and products that help improve our lives and the future of our planet.
Is there ways biotechnology is bad for the world? Yes there is. Is there ways engineering can go wrong? Yes, but that’s with anything that we as humans do.
The world has used the biological processes of microorganisms for over six centuries to make useful products like bread and to preserve dairy products. If we were to use these processes and work together, we could very well end world hunger.
Biotechnology is being used to do wonderful things and change the way we live, how we get food and as very well how our life’s are saved on a daily basis. It very well has helped us cure some diseases, but still has a long way to go.
The future of biotechnology is clear, but the path is not set. Things can always go wrong, strings can mutate, or things can unexpectedly turn to good. There’s just no telling, what can happen.
